Club Spotlight: Yuma Kennel Club

Thanks to a donation from the Yuma Kennel Club, the Yuma Fire Department (AZ) now has the lifesaving equipment it needs to administer medical attention to local pets during an emergency. The club raised money for eight “Fido bags” from the Fetch Foundation and presented them to the Fire Department in a special ceremony.

Club President Karen Cherland said, “We would like to get more, but we are starting with these eight. It is something that was brought to our attention about a month ago, and we thought it was a good thing to get behind, because it is something to help animals at the scene of a fire or other emergency.”
