Kosovo Coffee Bean BN, CD, CGC, RAE, aka Brownie, will compete in the Rally Advanced Excellent Class at the AKC Rally National Championship.
Brownie has an incredible story. Owner Sally Nist, an employee of the U.S. Department of State, was stationed in Kosovo when she found Brownie sitting outside her apartment. Sally decided to adopt her and bring her back to America. After overcoming several challenges, Brownie became part of the AKC Canine Partners program and started competing in AKC Rally. Says Sally, “Brownie may very well be comedy relief at the show, as she can score 99 or leave the ring, depending on her mood that day. I never know before we enter the ring but can normally tell after about three steps. Brownie had a dreadful life on the streets of Kosovo before rescuing herself by coming into the embassy and I figured that after obtaining several obedience titles and her Canine Good Citizen with the help of Mt. Vernon Dog Training Club, Brownie deserved to be at the first [AKC Rally National Championship]!”
Good luck, Sally and Brownie!
